We understand the frustrations of being tied up in a dead end job, and we know how hard it is to run your own business.
Read about how Sandy and Mark turned their lives around.

Sandy and Mark’s story:
Sandy is a mother of two and married to her high school sweetheart Mark.
Mark was a self-employed electrician who ran his own business in Adelaide for 6 years.
Mark started his electrical business in 2007. He was an exceptional electrician who loved his customers and loved providing them with excellent service. He was good at what he did, and it didn’t take long for him to build up a regular clientele.
It was a struggle at first but by the third year, life was good. Sandy had just delivered their second child, everything was running fine, the business was growing, as was his team. He had now employed a full time electrician and an apprentice.
In Mark’s sixth year of business however, he began feeling overwhelmed, regularly working 80 hour weeks trying to keep up with his customer’s expectations, managing his new staff, and spending most evenings catching up on paperwork and bills.
He was tired, he was under pressure, and the stress was beginning to affect Sandy and their family. They hadn’t had a holiday in six years, were rarely spending any time together, most of their conversations were work or money related, and Mark wasn’t spending as near enough time as he would have liked with his children. Sandy and Mark had no common goals and began losing each other. And to top it all off, Mark was quickly losing his passion and dedication to his trade.
Sandy quickly realised that there was no work life balance and that the stress and pressure of running their own business was taking a toll on Mark, their relationship and his health. The business had to go. Willing to fight for her family, Sandy started looking for job opportunities for Mark with reputable companies that would allow him to redefine himself as an electrician and get back to his core values, of excellent work and exceptional customer service.
Sandy and Mark were able to sell the business, and Mark started working for a great company. It wasn’t long before they started realising the benefits. After all was said and done, his income wasn’t that different from when he was working for himself and had additional opportunities to earn incentives and bonuses. Mark’s work life balance was quickly realigned, allowing him to spend quality time with his family, and rekindling his relationship with Sandy.
With the added benefits of being a full-time employee, Mark was again contributing to his superannuation fund, began accruing leave entitlements, and he and Sandy finally booked their first family holiday.
Now life was really good!
